The next driver education class starts Spring 2025.
Attending the parent meeting is required to enroll in the class.
Class size is limited and priority is given by age of the student.
Students must be 14.5 years old to obtain a learners permit. The learners permit must be obtained prior to the first class. The learners permit and payment receipts are required during the first class.
The class will consist of
a. Thirty (30) hours of classroom instruction,
b. Six (6) hours of behind-the-wheel instruction, and
c. Six (6) hours in-car observation.
Students must be at least 14 ½ years of age and are only allowed to drive with an instructor during the class. The instructor retains the student’s Driver Training Permit, and will give it to the applicant or parent/legal guardian after the course has been passed. The Driver Training Permit then becomes the Supervised Instruction Permit (SIP).
