Wifi Access for students

To support the students of our local community CTC is providing wifi hotspots for students to be able to get their work done if they don’t have the bandwidth or internet at their home.

The two hotspots are located at the Council CTC office across from the Senior Center, and at the Council Library.

These locations have a WiFi SSID of Free Student WiFi and require no password. They have increased the bandwidth at the library to handle student needs of uploading and downloading assignments.

While you are in these areas please follow the rules of social distancing.

On behalf of Council School District we want to thank Cambridge Telephone Company for making this possible.

FYI Annual Plant Sale

Mrs. Robbins would like everyone to know that we are still growing plants for the annual plant sale

Lumberjack Parents, Students and Staff:

Meal Delivery Plan:

Council School District has received a waiver from the State that will allow us to provide meals just like we do with our summer foods program, which is FREE to every child living within the boundaries of our school district from ages 1 up to, and including, age 18. We will be delivering meals (breakfast and lunch) at 7 different locations, Monday thru Thursday from 8 AM to 9AM. Parents are being called to determine which of the seven sites works best for them to come pick up those meals and how many children will be needing meals in their households. Parents or students can arrive at their chosen site any time between 8AM-9AM to pick up both a sack breakfast and a sack lunch. Everyone is advised to please observe appropriate distances from each other as pick up their meals.

Meal Delivery Locations:
· Council South: 2121 Kilborn Ln., Mesa
· Council North: 2264 Jonathan Ave., Fruitvale (across from Fruitvale Store)
· Council Hornet: 4256 Landore Rd., Bear (at junction of Cuprum Road)
· Council Exeter: 1774 S. Exeter, Council
· Council Town North: 204 4th Ave. @ Council Mini Storage (near Jerry’s Auto Parts)
· Council Town South: 103 S. Main St. @ Senior Center parking lot
· Council Town Central: 500 East Whitley @ Assembly of God Church parking lot
*If parents or students miss the meal delivery, please call the Elementary Office @ 208-253-4223 or email Mrs. Lacey @ rlacey@csd13.org to arrange a time for you to come by the ES and pick up your meals.

Education Delivery System:

Elementary School Children PK-6th Grade: All students in Elementary School were given education packets in their Lumberjack Folders last Tuesday to be completed this next week March 30-April 2. Every Thursday morning, starting on April 2, parents or students will drop off their completed packets and pick up their new packets when they pick up their meals.

*If parents or students miss the packet drop off bus, please call the Elementary Office @ 208-253-4223 or email Mrs. Lacey @ rlacey@csd13.org to arrange a time for you to come by the ES and drop off or pick up your educational packets.

Council Jr.-Sr. High School Grades 7-12: All students will either be working on-line through Google Classroom with each teacher or working on self-directed projects assigned by each teacher. We are making a list of students who need to check out computers or who need internet service so we can pass that on to CTC, our local internet provider. We will then contact all parents/students who need to check out computers to arrange a time for them to come pick up their device Monday morning. If you have any questions/concerns please call the High School at 208-253-4217 or email Kari Dawn Iveson @ kiveson@csd13.org .

As your Superintendent/HS Principal, I want to reassure all of you that we will do everything in our power to continue to provide a good education and meals to our Lumberjacks. And, as we preach to our students every day, the qualities of true Lumberjacks are intelligence, toughness, and grit, that allow us to prepare, adapt and overcome any obstacles we face! We will get through this together and when we do, we will be an even better school district!
